About our donation fund
The Lake Barkley Partnership is the regional economic development organization for Caldwell, Lyon, Crittenden, and Livingston Counties in rural Western Kentucky. On Friday, December 10, 2021 our communities in Lyon and Caldwell counties were in the direct path of the quad state tornado. The outpouring of home cooked meals, warm winter clothing, and clean drinking water for displaced residents has been overwhelmingly generous to meet the immediate needs of our communities.
The Lake Barkley Partnership is focused on facilitating the long term economic stabilization and regional recovery once the immediate shock and necessary reaction dwindles to a manageable event. The Partnership is seeking donations to ensure we have workforce housing for those that lost their homes; protect our small businesses that have donated an abundance of time and resources; and work with local utilities have to provide services to those who lost everything and are getting back on their feet.
The Partnership will coordinate with our Board of Directors, local governments, industrial development authorities, and financial institutions to determine the final use of donation funds. The Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible and all donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Please contact our executive director Amanda Davenport, at 270-385-0070, with any questions.
Thank you for your support of our region, our communities, and our local economy.
Think Rural. Support Local.
